Offer of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and job specific physical.
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel-driven vehicles and related heavy and specialized equipment under supervision and reviewed in accordance with specifications and accepted standards and procedures.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or Vocational Degree in the field of Automotive from an accredited institution
- One-year experience in automotive, school bus maintenance, or other type of fleet maintenance
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
- Current and valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B, with a Passenger Endorsement “P or able to attain within 6 months of employment
- Current and valid Florida Department of Education School Bus Safety Inspector Certification or able to attain within 2 years of employment
