This employment opportunity is available ONLY for Pasco County Schools high school junior or senior high-school students enrolled in the Business Cooperative Student (BCE) Program through their local high school or Pasco eSchool.

JOB SUMMARY

 

Business Cooperative Education is an educational program that has collaborated with the RAISE High School Tutoring Program through the Florida Department of Education and the Just Read Florida office. This position will provide the opportunity for selected high school students to earn experience as an educator before graduation. The ideal high school tutors are dedicated to instilling a love of reading and improving literacy skills in students with reading difficulties.

 

BCE student must meet the following requirements:

 

Students must have completed all course work satisfactorily for entrance into the junior or senior year of high school.

  • At least one (1) BCE/on-job training (OJT) placeholder on schedule.
  • Must have taken or currently enrolled in a required business course.
    • Digital Information Technology – Course #8207310
    • Accounting Applications – Course #8203310
    • Business Entrepreneurship – Course #8215120
    • Microcomputer Applications – Dual Enrollment Course @ PHSC CGS 1100

                (Summer applicants must have eligible course in upcoming fall schedule.)

 

In addition, junior or senior high-school applicants

  • must be 16 years of age or older
  • must have a good attendance record
  • must be interested in a business career
  • must have a valid Florida driver's license or dependable transportation to school and work
