JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for investigating, researching, and defining data processing applications in a mainframe computer environment by analyzing current procedures, defining problems, making recommendations for revisions of existing processes or institution of new systems, determining their feasibility for computer processing.This position will also focus on building standard operating procedures and improving processes across the department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of workflow diagrams and multiple program languages
- Broad knowledge of computer systems, including programming and systems operations
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, orally and in writing, including electronic media
- Ability to organize, prioritize, manage and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree or equivalent (2 years of college coursework)
- Data processing experience including computer programming and systems experience
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution in computer programming or related field
- Experience in computer programming and systems operations
- Experience with FileMaker Pro and HRIS
- Experience creating standard operating procedures and evaluating processes for improvement
