JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for building capacity and providing supports for school communities that are consistent with and supportive of the District’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. This includes overseeing district, state, and federal programs; content areas within curriculum, assessment, and instruction; programs within innovative and enriched educational programs enriched and innovative learning; and/or educational choice while ensuring that all policies and procedures are implemented to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate district-wide Tier 1 and Tier 2 behavior systems including positive behavior and intervention supports (PBIS).
- Lead the implementation of the student resiliency standards.
- Lead implementation of Tier 1 classroom engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to create a multi-tiered system of resiliency and behavior supports for students.
- Develop training for school leaders, teacher teams, teachers, coaches, instructional assistants, and district staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to facilitate and model professional learning for Tier 1 and Tier 2 behavior systems and effective classroom strategies.
- Knowledge of school board policies and practices as they relate to student behavior and the student code of conduct.
- Experience serving on school leadership teams, PBIS committees, compassionate schools teams.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Three years of related professional experience in the area of assignment
- Experience in public education
