 SUMMARY:

This position will assist in managing two kitchens at neighboring schools. Responsible for assisting with overseeing staff, ensuring program compliance, and managing the preparation and serving of meals at Wesley Chapel High and Wesley Chapel Elementary Schools while supporting healthy food habits and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with stakeholders in the school, school district, and surrounding community to operate a successful food and nutrition program while complying with federal, state, local, and district standards and School Board Policies.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years work experience in school food service, food service management or equivalent
• Knowledge of quantity food prep/production, proper kitchen equipment use/care, meal program regulations/meal pattern requirements, HACCP, and food safety/sanitation.
• Completion of at least six (5) FNS approved professional development courses within the past four (4) years or equivalent external education. Area of focus should represent topics directly related to the position __ including but not limited to __ culinary, food safety, cooking, menu/meal planning/production, profit/loss, nutrition/wellness, allergies/special diets, business operations, inventory management, and leadership.
• Possess a valid ServSafe Certification from the National Restaurant Association or agreement to obtain within six (6) month of hire.
• Operating knowledge of various computer programs, including but not limited to email, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, point of sale, and inventory management.
• Must meet the physical requirements of Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) and clear fingerprinting.
